VetFIRE LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("VetFIRE," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website vetfire.co (the "Site") and use our financial calculators and tools.

Calculator Inputs

All calculations are performed locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit the financial information you enter into our calculators (such as disability amounts, savings, ages, or spending goals).

Paid Product Purchases

If you purchase a paid product (such as VetFIRE™ Pro), your payment is processed by Stripe (opens in new tab), our third-party payment processor. VetFIRE LLC does not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account information. Stripe may collect your name, email address, billing address, and payment details as needed to complete your transaction. We may retain a record of your purchase (including your email address and transaction ID) for order fulfillment, refund processing, and customer support purposes.

Automatically Collected Information

• Purchase & Input Storage: If you purchase VetFIRE™ Pro, we store a purchase-verification flag in your browser's localStorage so paid content stays unlocked across visits. We also store your calculator form inputs (age, income, VA rating, expenses, spouse panel state) in localStorage so they persist between sessions. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit VetFIRE, a cookie consent banner appears giving you two options:

Netlify (Website Hosting)

This Site is hosted on Netlify, a cloud platform for web applications. Netlify may collect visitor logs including IP addresses for security, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention. Sentry (Error Tracking)

We use Sentry to monitor and track website errors to improve site reliability. Sentry may collect technical information such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and error logs. MailerLite (Email Marketing)

Stripe (Payment Processing)

Purchases of VetFIRE™ Pro are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you make a purchase, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout page. Stripe collects your payment card details, name, email address, and billing information directly — VetFIRE LLC never receives or stores your full card number. Impact.com (Affiliate Tracking)

We use Impact.com to track affiliate link referrals and earn commissions when you purchase through our links. Impact.com may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, and click data solely for attribution purposes. Learn more at Impact.com Privacy Policy (opens in new tab).

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law:

• Analytics Data: Google Analytics retains data for 26 months (default setting)
• Email Subscribers: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Error Logs: Sentry retains error data for 90 days
• Cookie Consent Records: Stored locally in your browser until you clear browsing data
• Purchase Records: We retain your email address and transaction ID for as long as needed to provide access to your purchased product, process refunds, and respond to support requests. Purchase records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Calculator Inputs (localStorage): Stored locally in your browser until you clear browsing data. Never transmitted to any server.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to our site.

CAN-SPAM Act Compliance

We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. When you subscribe to our mailing list, we will:

• Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses
• Identify promotional messages as advertisements where required
• Include our physical mailing address in every email
• Honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests within 10 business days
• Not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes
